UNetbootin is a handy application that facilitates you to install different Linux/BSD distributions and create your own bootable USB drive using minimum effort. The program supports installing forty of the known distributions, each with multiple versions. The application enables you to select to download the required OS or supply your own Linux ISO file if you have. You can install the install Linux distribution on a portable USB disk either you have an internet connection or not. In addition, the program facilitates you to install your preferred Linux distribution even it is not on the list. By using UNetbootin, you can load or create bootable portable drives with different system utilities such as FreeDOS, Ported Magic, F-Secure Rescue CD, etc. in addition to creating a bootable USB drive; the program facilitates you to make a “frugal install” of the required distribution right on your hard disk.
